The Traveler’s Rite is a handmade leather journal crafted for everyday carry. Made from full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, each journal is cut, assembled, and finished by hand to age beautifully with use. Designed to be durable, refillable, and simple, it’s built for daily notes, sketches, and ideas.

Each piece is handcrafted from full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather and built to be used often, carried daily, and shaped by time. The leather will soften, darken, and develop character over time, reflecting how and where it’s carried. This isn’t a journal meant to stay pristine. It’s meant to show its life.

The interior holds refillable paper inserts secured with an elastic system, allowing pages to be replaced without replacing the journal itself. When an insert is finished, it’s meant to be kept — the cover continues on.

Each Traveler’s Rite is made by hand after your order is placed. Orders typically ship within 3–5 business days. Natural variations in leather, color, and markings are part of the process and make each piece unique.

What is the Traveler's Rite made of?
Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, 3–4 oz. Each cover is cut, assembled and finished by hand in Georgia.

What comes with it?
The leather cover, an elastic closure in your choice of black, burgundy, brown or tan, and two hand-sewn inserts so you can start writing the day it arrives.

How do the refills work?
The inserts are held in by an elastic band. When one is full, slide it out, keep it, and put in a fresh one. Refills come in sets of three for $21.

How long does it take to ship?
Every Traveler's Rite is made to order and usually ships within 3–5 business days.

Is shipping free?
Yes. US orders of $49 or more ship free, so the Traveler's Rite ships free on its own.

Will the leather change over time?
Yes. Veg-tan leather softens, darkens and picks up marks from how and where it's carried. That patina is the point: no two age the same way.

Is there a pen to go with it?
Yes. Every Daily pen is a 1-of-1, hand-turned on the lathe from a single wood blank, and it ships with a spare refill.
